We have developed an up to date, well-managed database that contains a range of candidates UK wide who are looking to start or continue to work in this sector. Following a discussion where we take details of your requirements we will conduct a targeted search and match suitable candidates.


Alongside the database search we will place your vacancies on a range of the most high profile internet job boards, as well as some smaller sector based sites. This will produce applications throughout the campaign to supplement those generated from our database.(this is also a stand alone service, see below for more details)


We believe you will find our interview attendance rates are higher than those achieved by many agencies. We take the time not only to understand your company and vacancy but we also make that extra effort with candidates. Our high level of customer service extends to candidates so they treat us as their agency of choice and as such do not like to “let us down“. We get to know our candidates, and understand their needs and aspirations; this means we can more accurately match them to vacancies they are keen to apply to. Once submitted to a client we keep in contact throughout the process, answering queries and ensuring everything on track.


As you are aware the candidates you would most like to join your organisation are often in demand, therefore you may face some competition, or they may have other issues that need resolving prior to acceptance. In our experience, candidates are likely to be more open with an agency than a potential “employer” therefore if the offer is not a straightforward acceptance (which most will be, by this stage) we are often able to discuss and resolve issues with candidates.

Those candidates who are not successful will be contacted by telephone with any feedback. This leaves them with a good impression of both yourself and Grey Seal Recruitment.



Advertising – the process explained

The process starts with us getting as much information about your organisation and the vacancy you need filled. This can be from your website and job descriptions but what really brings the role to life is what you say about it. Armed with this information we write adverts that attract the right candidates, in any economic climate you are in competition for the best candidates.

We use strategies that work for online advertising – weaving keywords throughout the text, using titles that will be searched, knowing each job board and their nuances.

However you are always in control, we will send the advertisement to you for approval and it is at this point you decide whether you want to proceed. Our knowledgeable consultants can help you decide how many job boards you wish to use and which ones best serve the geographical location and sector of the vacancy.

The CVs are emailed to you as and when you choose, this maybe as they arrive, in groups every day or on a closing date. You select an email address for them to go to, you can change this for different vacancies.

Our experienced consultants will match applicants CVs against your vacancy criteria and only forward relevant CVs.This saves a lot of time, leaving you free to consider which candidates you would like to interview.

Telephone Interview

Having understood what experience and qualifications are required for your role, interview questions are composed specifically to meet your individual requirements. This stage achieves two aims – to deselect candidates not matching the criteria and to give candidates more information about your organisation and vacancy so they feel excited to hear from you if you progress their application. An answer and comment sheet will be emailed to you with the candidates CV.

CV Search

We will search online CV databases for candidates matching your criteria. This ia a standalone service which naturally includes short listing but you could add telephone interviewing as well for a fantastic time saving and cost effective service.



We run temporary workers through our payroll which means that you would manage their day to day activities and we would act as your payroll department. We recruit and pay the whole temporary workforce for a number of training providers. We work closely with the area managers to ensure we are getting candidates with the right competencies and qualifications at the right time. We have won business time and again from other agencies because of the high levels of service we provide not only to clients but temporary workers as well. This is particularly important because to keep a temporary worker happy and committed to the provider we need to ensure their pay is correct and on time. We offer high levels of customer service to temporary workers to keep them, e.g., short term loans, tax advice, an open phone line directly to a named payroll professional.


A complete service including copywriting, advertising discounts, response management through to in depth first interviews and offers and rejections.
